A lot has happened over the last eight months or so that I stepped away from blogging. First, we recently had lots to celebrate besides the holidays and New Year, my sister-in-law (my brother’s wife) is now in remission after battling stage 2 breast cancer, and their little boy had his first birthday a couple days ago! There is now a Kindergartener in my house, and both girls had birthdays in the last month. Last, but not least, I completed an eight month long 200 hour yoga teacher training and now teach one night a week at my teacher’s studio, onlYoga, in Atlanta. 2013 was certainly a whirlwind of a year! Thank you to all of you who sent messages wishing my sister-in-law well and asking me to start posting again. I’ve missed sharing with you all and I look forward to sharing more this year!
One of the main things that inspired the beginning of this blog were smoothie recipes, so starting back with a smoothie seems to be the only to go! This smoothie is so refreshing, and bright…it’s screaming, “hurry up spring!”

Serves: 1 – 2
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 medium apple cored
- 1 cup sliced cucumber
- 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 tbsp chia seeds, optional
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into a blender. Start on a low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend until smooth.
